Her taste for what would now be called the ‘golden
oldies’ gave DJ Rick a great, and diversified background. His
own personal flavor for what would now be called ‘classic rock’,
results in a well rounded taste for the best music of the Century.
He has a wide knowledge of Music from the 40’s to Today’s
newest hits.
Beginning his career early in life in the Family Restaurant Business.
Then Pursuing an Educational in Electronics, which led to a Career
with the Tandy Corporation (Radio Shack), as a Manager for several
Years. A local Radio Shack Franchise was up for sale and he bought
it. He owned and operated the store very successfully for 7 years.
It was during this time that a local DJ was moving, and had some
equipment for sale. At the time it was pretty good equipment, by
today’s standards it was antique. He started to DJ, as a hobby,
part-time, while running his store full-time.
After a few years of Running the DJ Business as a hobby, the Demand
for his Services increased, and he finally decided to part with
the Retail store, and devote more time to the DJ Business. At this
time he had put together another system, and now the capability
of playing at more than 1 function per day.
He operated this business in the Lake George area for over 7 years,
before parting way with his partner at the time, and moving to the
Capital District. The original Company is still operating to this
day, and is very successful.
In 1994 he moved to the Capital District and Formed KING ENTERTAINMENT.
It did not take long for this business to be in high demand, and
referred by many area Wedding Professionals.
Today, he has several DJ systems, and several Karaoke systems in
operation and KING ENTERTAINMENT, provides quality musical entertainment
for over 300 functions per year.
Most past clients agree that it’s his attention to detail that
makes KING ENTERTAINMENT stand out. Whether it’s DJ Rick or
one of the other highly trained DJ’s, All details are checked,
and taken care or. This relieves a lot of stress from the Event
Planner, Bride, or Corporate liaison.
